Ion Heating for Europe

CE certified since 2021, European patent granted, German branch office since 2021. The TBTL ion heating system converts 99.9% of the electricity it draws into heat and has cut heating, hot water and drying cost by 30-70% at around 100 sites. No refrigerant, no gas connection, no flue.

Why Europe

Electrified heat
without refrigerant,
gas or a flue

Most European buildings already run hydronic heating — radiators, underfloor loops, air handling units and hot water tanks. Ion heating replaces only the heat source: the water itself produces heat by molecular friction, at 99.9% energy conversion efficiency, using the pipework that is already in the building.

Fit

Four reasons it suits a European retrofit

Nothing here depends on a subsidy scheme. These are properties of the equipment itself.

  • No refrigerant at all — no F-gas charge, logbook, leak check or end-of-life recovery
  • No gas connection and no flue — no combustion, no boiler room ventilation or chimney work
  • Existing pipework is reused — radiators, underfloor loops, AHU piping and hot water tanks stay in place
  • Runs on your own electricity — pairs directly with rooftop PV and battery storage; a Korean 55 py (approx. 182 m²) solar home covers its heating from 6 kW of PV

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What European buyers ask before a first quotation. Anything else: n.energy19@gmail.com.

Is the ion heating system CE certified?

Yes. CE certification was obtained in 2021 and the certificate is published on our certification page together with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. A European patent certificate for the boiler system is also granted, part of a filing family covering eight countries. Original certificates and KCL and KTL test reports are sent on request.

Do you have a presence in Europe?

Yes. A German branch office was established through KOTRA in 2021. The company exhibited at SHK Essen 2022 and at IFA Berlin in 2024, presented the technology to German buyers and was interviewed by a UK broadcaster. Manufacturing and engineering remain at our own plant in Busan, Republic of Korea.

Will the unit run on European 400 V 50 Hz supply?

The published specification is 3-phase 4-wire 380 V, 30 A for NEP-18 and 90 A for NEP-60. Supply voltage and frequency for a European installation are confirmed project by project before quotation, so send your site voltage, frequency and available breaker capacity with your enquiry and we will confirm the configuration in writing.

How does it compare with a heat pump in a cold European winter?

Output does not fall with outdoor temperature, because no heat is taken from outside air. In a KCL test reproducing winter conditions the ion heating system used 28.1% less electricity than our own inverter heat pump. There is no outdoor unit and no refrigerant, so no F-gas handling, defrost cycle or outdoor noise.

Can it be retrofitted into existing radiator or underfloor piping?

Yes. Existing water piping and air handling unit piping are reused and hot water applications connect to the storage tank, so no gas piping, flue or refrigerant work is needed. Installation takes one to three days at a typical site. Units are installed in parallel for larger loads, with no capacity limit.

Are you looking for distributors or OEM partners in Europe?

Yes. We work with distributors, HVAC contractors and OEM partners across Europe. Email n.energy19@gmail.com with your country, target segment and annual volume estimate. Our office hours are 09:00–18:00 KST, which is early morning in Central Europe, so email usually gets a same-day reply while a call may not.
